Witan Pacific is an investment trust that invests in the smaller stock markets of Asia’s emerging markets, and also in Japan. The fund is managed by two different managers, Aberdeen and Nomura. Although both have strong investment philosophies based on fundamental research and long-term record, they manage the portfolio in very different ways. The end result is a investment portfolio with a higher degree of diversification than most other Asian funds, and so with a lower level of risk to investors.
